During my childhood, I was surrounded by people who looked at the world differently - architects, artists, and photographers.  Growing up around those that designed, created, and built opened my eyes to the power and beauty of design and working with your hands. I was led to architecture, my initial path, by my father and uncle and continued on this path for over 25 years. Furniture and woodworking were a natural extension of that profession and at a very early age, I began to design and build furniture in my father’s shop.

At Wiley Guitarworks, I focus on modern lines, simple shapes, and beautiful woods, designed to allow nature to be center stage.  Behind each phase of construction lies an emphasis on craftsmanship and continuity in design resulting in a beautiful and unique instrument that inspires the hand, ear, and eye.

All materials for my instruments are sourced from responsible lumber suppliers practicing sustainable foresting practices.  Wiley Guitarworks has long been concerned about the impact foresting has on the environment, and is proud to encourage responsible forestry and the use of renewable natural resources. Additionally, materials are locally sourced from arborists who reclaim and salvage beautiful hardwoods from urban forestry projects. With every instrument built, Wiley Guitarworks will donate a portion of the sale to One Tree Planted to support their mission of reforestation and ensure trees are a renewable resource.  For more information on how you can get involved visit their site at www.onetreeplanted.org.
